Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Initial Reaction

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII

I’ve played through the first few hours of “Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII” on the PlayStation Portable and I am enjoying my experience thus far. The action battle sequences are somewhat odd, thanks to the Digital Mind Wave (DMW) system, but the game gives you enough low key challenges from the get go to get one accustomed to the battle mechanics. I’m enjoying the “Advent Children’esque” cinematic sequences, Square Enix is surely one of the industries best visual storytellers. The musical score is also top notch as it features familiar Nobuo Uematsu tracks from “Final Fantasy VII” combined with all new compositions penned by Takeharu Ishimoto. I’ll have a full review for you folks next week, but for now I must continue my adventure.

One a little side note, wouldn’t it be great if the original FFVII would be released on the PlayStation Store for play on the PSP and PlayStation 3? I have a feeling I’ll need to go purchase a copy of FFVII after I am done with this as my original copy has mysteriously disappeared.
